Prior to 1983 Prior to Daniel's dedication to painting full time, his photographs were published in numerous national magazines including LIFE, NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC, and a six-page feature in POPULAR PHOTOGRAPHY (1980). He is also the author of six published non-fiction books and ten picture books for young children.
