Live Painting/Video Performance and Exhibition
with guest artists Nathan Spoor, Chandler Wood and more
Thursday, December 17th, 7-11pm
C2 Gallery

"Introspection", "staring within", and "nighttime isolation" will be the theme of the evening with art images of vacant streets, empty spaces and solitary figures in silhouettes under lamppost shadows adorning the white walls. The night will feature drawings and paintings by Le Gallo & Cournoyer, the latter of which will be celebrating his first exhibition in ten years. The main event of the evening will be their performance of live-painting layered over video projections. The projections, shot by Le Gallo, are video portraits of interesting characters whose thoughts and settings will be rendered by hand within and around his subjects. Guest artists will be taking their turns as well and will include Nathan Spoor, Chandler Wood. When asked about his thoughts on the upcoming show Cournoyer merely quoted Arlo Guthrie “You can’t have a light without a dark to stick it in”. The addition of complimentary libations and an interesting crowd will further prove to be a vivid and momentary break-from-the-holidays event.
